Accreditations and Standard

Stopol Equipment Sales has experienced brokers and an experienced CMEA who is a member of NEBB. We hold and promote the ethics and reporting guidelines of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Our commitment is always to promote and preserve the public trust throughout the appraisal process.

Certified VS. Non-Certified Valuations

In the past, companies turned to brokers, dealers, and auctioneers for valuations. However a company that solely performs the buying and selling of equipment, businesses and inventory may have a hidden agenda. A large percentage of these individuals are not certified or trained in providing USPAP-compliant appraisal reports. If you need a “Certified Appraisal” and the report you obtain is not USPAP compliant, it is not a “qualified” appraisal prepared by a “qualified” appraiser pursuant to the Council of Foundation, the IRS, and others. Beware of the individual who does not have certification; you will only be opening yourself up to increased costs, liability, and risk.
